Reporting directly to the Health Safety & Loss Prevention (“HSLP”) Manager, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and maintaining efficiency of the Tanami Operations’ health and safety systems and programs of work.
Located at the Callie underground operation, you will guide, mentor and lead our Health & Safety professional team, and you will be required to use your initiative in ensuring that safety and emergency response programs at the Operations are paramount.
Possessing a Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, together with substantial experience in an underground senior safety advisory role, you will also be familiar with the Australian mining industry and associated mining safety or environmental legislation. A dynamic self-starter, you will have strong leadership, sound management, and financial management and budgeting skills. Exposure to strategic business planning processes would be an advantage.
As a valued member of the Tanami Operations, you will receive a remuneration package commensurate with your skills and experience, and will include FIFO Allowance, performance bonus and private health cover. Generous relocation assistance may be offered to relocate you to Perth, Darwin or Alice Springs if you reside in a different capital city.
Should you reside in the Northern Territory, a NT Allowance of $18,530 (inclusive of superannuation) will be included in your package instead of the FIFO Allowance.
