We are currently resourcing for a HSE Advisor in NSW with a hands on focus but ability to grow in to the HSE Manager role for NSW. Working as part of a team reporting to the National General Manager of HSE&Q with the full support of the General Manager – NSW, this p osition is responsible for the management of HSE issues and Risk Assessments. Being AS:4801 certified you will also undertake the ongoing management of the Safety Maintenance System.
Key Responsibilities of this hands on role include:
- Conduct and report on internal and external risk assessments and communicate any HSE hazards to internal and external employees and clients.
- Plan, action and follow-up identified hazards on both external client sites and internal sites.
- Management and maintenance of the Safety Management System.
- Ensure continued compliance of AS:4801 certification.
- Implement safety strategies to achieve targeted injury reduction.
- Investigate all Lost Time Injuries, and reported incidents
- Manage guide and mentor team members to ensure HSE goals are met within the team.
- Support and promote HSE both internally and externally.
- Participate in the induction of new employees both internally and externally
- Completion of Start-up and tool box meetings at client sites.
We are seeking an individual with a strong HSE background and strong interpersonal skills to grow in to a management role to assist in the ongoing development and achievement of target reductions of all injuries.
This experience should include:
- Diploma equivalent or higher within OH&S.
- OH&S experience across a broad industry base with preference given to Transport and Logistics.
- Experience in the above tasks with a hands-on attitude.
- Ability to mentor and develop staff within safety systems.
- A Trade or Nursing background would be highly advantageous.
